Jammu and Kashmir Police Momento

Honoring Service with Handcrafted Mementos for Jammu & Kashmir Police

Project Description:

Studio Kilab was deeply honored to collaborate with the Jammu & Kashmir Police Department, crafting unique and meaningful mementos that embody their dedication and service. Our goal was to create pieces that not only served as tokens of appreciation but also celebrated the rich cultural heritage of the region.

Design Concept:

We designed two distinct memento styles, each showcasing the J&K Police logo and reflecting the department’s values:

  • Traditional Elegance: Exquisite plates crafted from papier-mâché, adorned with intricate Nakashi painting. This art

  • form, known for its vibrant colors and floral motifs, represents the region’s artistic legacy and symbolizes prosperity.

  • Natural Strength: Mementos carved from walnut wood, renowned for its durability and rich texture. The carvings depicted the J&K Police logo with precision and detail, signifying their unwavering commitment and resilience.

Key Features:

  • Handcrafted artistry: Each memento was meticulously created by skilled Kashmiri artisans, preserving traditional techniques and empowering local communities.

  • Sustainable materials: Both papier-mâché and walnut wood are natural and eco-friendly choices, aligning with Studio Kilab’s commitment to responsible production.

  • Symbolic representation: The J&K Police logo, prominently displayed on each memento, served as a constant reminder of the department’s service and sacrifice.

Impact:

These handcrafted mementos were not just gifts; they were testaments to the dedication and courage of the J&K Police force. The project served as a bridge between tradition and innovation, showcasing the power of design to create meaningful connections and celebrate cultural heritage.

Studio Kilab is proud to have partnered with the Jammu & Kashmir Police Department on this prestigious project, demonstrating our commitment to design that honors service and uplifts communities.
